Are you in the right occupation category?

Over the years we have advised many nurses in regards to their income protection. In many cases we have found that the income protection that was put in place years ago is no longer relevant. During your career you may have changed from a nurse with physical  duties to a more administrative, management or consulting role that involves office duties you should review your occupation class. If the typical occupation class for a nurse no longer applies to your role then your premium should be reduced accordingly.

Does your Remuneration include rotating shift allowances?

When we discuss income protection with nurses we often find their income protection cover based on their base salary only. For many nurses their remuneration includes allowances for rotating shifts. When calculation your sum insured these extra allowances should be included if they are regular and ongoing.
